The M.O.T test checks that vehicles meet road safety and environmental standards. The first M.O.T. test for a vehicle is required when it is three years old.

When we’ve completed your M.O.T, we’ll inform you of anything that’s wrong with your vehicle. We’ll be very clear on which of these items are essential for getting your vehicle back on the road.

The following aspects of your vehicle will be tested when we do an M.O.T.:

  • Driving controls
  • Exterior
  • Lights
  • Under the bonnet
  • Under the vehicle
  • Brake performance
  • Exhaust emissions

Any additional items that we list are provided just for your information. We’ll give you guidance on whether it would be advisable to have them done now or how long you could wait before attending to them.
